Jesus Will Return in 2050
A recent poll conducted by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press and Smithsonian Magazine reveals that 41% of Americans believe that Jesus’ Second Coming will occur in the next 40 years.

I was shocked to read this view in a book I am currently (trying to) read(ing). "The Physics of Christianity". The author states basically that humanity will destroy itself and God will intervene via the Return. Not sure what to make of it.

I would not worry about these kinds of predictions. To date, every prediction about the end of the world, the coming of Christ, and the final judgment has been wrong. This one will prove to be wrong too.
